How will the Swine of the zodiac, navigate us through November’s Pigsties?

🐖 YIN EARTH PIG 己亥 Month :: 7 NOV. — 8 DEC.
In the west the Winter Solstice (Dec, 21) is considered to be the start of Winter, but in Asia, seasons are denoted via the balance of Yin and Yang. Chinese Seasons begin at the mid point between the Solstices and Equinoxes and the over all year is divided into 24 solar terms. When the Pig governs the month pillar, we officially enter Winter season, marked by the astrological midpoint between the Equinox and Solstice cross quarter point. And it also the 19th solar term - called the 'Beginning of Winter'. The coldest season of the year — symbolized in paintings by the plum — a late winter bloomer. Owing to the fact the plum blooms in amidst of harsh winter snow, the Plum blossom known as meihua 梅花, are a symbol of resilience, perseverance especially in the face of adversity. Plums are also the National Flower of Republic of China (Taiwan). From the get go, expect Taiwan/China tensions to escalate, the Double 10th, is a festival in Taiwan, but it’s held on 10th Oct as National Day. However the 10th day of the tenth lunar month is (14, Nov 2021). In Japan the Boar is seen as fearsome and reckless and represents the God of War. Honesty is a key principal of the Boar - and indeed the Ox.
This month’s elements are 己亥 Yin Earth over Water. Elementally water destroys and controls earth. But this year’s Earth Ox strengthens the earthly prowess. Factoring in the Day pillar, we enter Pig month on the day of the Yin Earth Goat, forming a two thirds of seasonal triple harmony. The Sow and the Cow have a certain swagger and samey vibe - one favouring the paddock, the other a sty. Cattle stock are taken from Winter fields, no longer foraging but fed over winter, familiar terrain for the Pig. But the Ox and the Goat also form a punishing penalty, with echos of July when we entered Goat month which was particularly intense. Pigs generosity and abundance is hampered. The pig (water)undoes what the Ox (earth) has aided in planting. A wild boar is beastly and devastates crops. Expect water element to affect harvests, the absence of Wood could see crops wiped out due to combination of a deluge and lack of water. But if harnessed correctly the earth is slowly and profoundly capable of transformations. . . Power is underground and hidden seeds of next year’s Tiger are hidden here in Yang Wood.
Winter is all about hibernation and storage of reserves. But what reserves? Of course the Pig partnered with Yin earth, speaks to hidden treasures - think truffles, the white truffle, the most expensive food in the world. And pigs favour this delicacy as must as humans, November is optimum N.H foraging season with the Pig the original truffle hunter. Perhaps we’re likely to see a new food source emerge or truffles trotted out for record prices due to supply issues. To draw another parallel with the Pig, which is oft seen as a greedy, glutinous and food centrist beast, we may see food hoarding rear its ugly head once more, the struggle to forage is real. But not the mountainous stock piling of food, more a shortage or supply of essentials. So much earth in the November chart, can control Water. This maY also speak to Oil deposits and a pressure on this resource. Supply chains under pressure, the goose a symbol of tenth month, could see it and other traditional Christmas meat be scarce (Xmas Hams are just as ubiquitous Yule fare). In fact any Xmas decadence and spending could be restricted. Island nations as we predicted in our annual forecast will be spotlighted- singling out Ireland, England, Japan, Australia, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea this month as under pressure. Volume wise, pig meat exported by the EU producers accounts for 41% of global import demand, so collectively EU see pressure calling Spain, France and Italy, Germany, Slovakia and Finland. Cuba may make headlines for other reasons.
During the month of the Pig, luck will be strongest for those born in Tiger, Rabbit years, and normally the Goat but in Ox year less so. While those born in Snake years may Clash and Monkeys may find the month combative. A little peep at global leaders BaZi shows a few obstacles on the horizon. French PM Macron has two Snakes in his chart. Australian PM, Scott Morrison has a Goat, Snake and a Monkey in his chart. China’s president, Xi Jinping was born in year of Snake and Biden, was born in a Pig Month. Morrison looks most likely to be hit by this - watch for 14th and 22nd Nov, when the Tiger could seed what’s to unfold in 2022. The kidneys are the organs associated with Winter, and the element of Water. Be wary of losing your temper as it harms the Kidney Qi. Mind your ears and our Jing (best described as your essence) but excessive desire for copulation in what’s called “yang” month can deplete your Jing, as can burning the midnight oil and getting little sleep. S.H peeps, where Summer is beginning other organs are stirring. Globally, tempers flare as reputations come under pressure. An inability to conceal leads to blunders, a mistake prone month ahead. Listen for chatter, we’ll hear talk of honesty, albeit a distant desire. Emotional waters run deep. Earth. ie land is key topic. Maritime waters spotlighted.
In Asian folklore the Boar symbolizes prosperity and nobility. The swine of the zodiac may bring gifts, especially if the Pig is your Nobleman- deciphered from your Bazi chart. The month may feel especially fortuitous if you were born in a Chinese year ending with a '2', as the Pig is like your - Lucky totem. When it’s a Pig day it’s known as your Lucky Money Day (Lu Cun) which repeats in 12 day cycles! It's considered a good day to make money or take some calculated financial risks, basically anything of a financial nature.
🌠 FENG SHUI :: 7 NOV. — 8 DEC.
Early February feels return, with the same flying stars chart, sparking a what kicked off 2021. Don’t be fooled by the porker’s soggy underfoot digs, as the swine of the Zodiac favours decadence. Channel your inner Lord of the Manor, as the Sow favours decor comforts; the Ox is more frugal. Finances maybe under pressure as the saving isn’t as likely, the pig favours a diet of acorns in the wild, so seeds of the future could be sown.
The emotive topic of Land and Country will be a central theme remain. To ‘center’ another key word for Earth, is even more relevant this month as the five №.5 returns to it’s domicile position. Challenges are likely. Hence the Centre and SE (annual #5)are the least favourable sectors to find yourself for long periods. If your front door is in SE, then occupants may see their monetary position challenged, especially females. The Malefic #5 could drain finances or just plain meddle or irritate for the sake of irritating.
The flying star №.8 flies into the NE and creates the month’s luckiest of sectors, bringing good tidying. An uber sweet spot to linger in. The noble star №.8 returns to it’s inherent Earth ruled palace, home of the Ox, so equally activated. The AFS (Annual flying star) №.9 fuels and nourishes bestowing knowledge and self betterment for one and all. Young sons may fair well in exams at this time. When this duo partners up (#8+#9) they can usually indicate myriad of happy occasions. If family harmony has be challenged then this may improve. Fame may come knocking on your door.
The SW especially if a bedrooms is here, it could trigger underlining ailments of a womanly nature - take precautions as a related illness may flare up. №.2 is in domicile hence why health is spotlighted. It’s the inherent home of the Monkey whose likely to clash in Pig month. And the Goat also in Ox year. Avoid sleeping here, if health hiccups are relevant, or at least try to do so for the month ahead. Or at least mitigate with some metal elements. Arguments ramp up and couples may start to bicker perhaps over bringing home the bacon.
GOVERNING MONTHLY HEXAGRAM #2
The last word to the governing Monthly Hexagram. It’s the hexagram for ‘THE RECEPTIVE’, Double Earth trigrams combine to form this hexagram. Earth amps up. And yin reigns. Another strong month with elemental Earth factor also returning to the Lou shu central palace, this is über intense. Receptiveness and gentle yielding is called for. The iron fist approach is futile, should a stubborn male lead without seeking guidance, things go astray. It’s said alliances are found in the South and West, with the North and East lost. Arguably it could a reference to land and nations leadship? Motherland issues will unfurl. I’m always left pondering the accuracy of a Chinese Classic (iChing) in relation to unfolding global manifestations. Here’s a translation of HEXAGRAM #2 -
One should not strive to achieve everything of one’s own strength but keep receptive to guiding influences. The receptive (earth) must be led by the Creative(heaven). Being yielding and devoted must not exclude strength. (translation by R. Wilhelm).
